The Herd Leadership Council (HLC) is the group of students that run The Herd. Being a part of the HLC is a chance for students to have a great time, meet great people, be the student voice of the Alumni Association, and gain valuable leadership experience.

Spring 2008 Herd Leaders:

Liz

Liz Porreca: I am a senior this year majoring in English Lit. I am pretty terrified to be graduating in May, but I am looking forward to making my last year the best yet! I am so excited for everything the Herd has going on this coming year, especially CU Idol and, of course, the Nearly Naked Mile! Pretty much everything the Herd does is amazing so don’t miss out!

Headshot DawnDawn Barone: I am a junior at CU double majoring in Psychology and History with a possible minor in Italian. I love sports. My favorite would have to be soccer, but I have played them all and really enjoy most of them. There is no better place to get pumped for sporting events at CU than with The HERD. Plus The HERD is a really great way to get connected and meet a ton of awesome people!

Herd Leader: LillianLillian Soderman: On paper I’m a senior, but I’m a youngin’. I think I’m going to major in Anthropology and French. Listening to music is my life. I enjoy living, being free, meeting people who you are sad to leave. AND DID I FORGET TO MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE THE HERD…I can combine all my loves into one program. The HERD rocks my world, it’s one of many opportunities to live more fully and find yourself along the way.

DustinDustin Farivar: BUFFALOES, BUFFALOES, GO CU! Hey Everyone! I am a junior majoring in Political Science and Sociology and I am also minoring in Leadership. I love CU and I love The HERD. It has been one of the best ways to contribute to the good of the university. Come hang out with us and you will have a blast.

BrittnyBrittny Spencer: Hi fellow Buffaloes! I’m a junior majoring in Sociology with minors in Math and Women’s Studies. I’ve lived in Colorado my whole lif e and absolutly love it. I couldn’ t live without my mountains! The HERD is definitely the best student group around. I have had so much fun showing my CU spirit and meeting new people.

SusanaSusana Peralta: I’m a junior majoring in MCDB and Spanish. I want to live in Spain someday and eventually work in health care. Well, I absolutly love The HERD. The people are great and any time a HERD event is going on you know that you’ll have a good time. This year is going to be amazing!!!

CathieCathie Franklin: I’m a sophmore at CU! I’m am a double major in gemanic studies and geography. Other then the HERD, CU water polo, food, & of course school are my life. The HERD is awesome! Even my twin in Arizona has a shrit, so come show your BUFF pride!

Jennifer Binder: I am a sophomore Biochemistry major. When I’m not helping with events for the HERD I am either doing homework, working for the INSTAAR Stable Isotope Laboratory, doing yoga or working out, playing poker, watching a live concert, eating, or watching football. If I’m not doing one of those things, something crazy has happened.

Marni Spott: I am a freshman at CU with a major in Astrophysics and a minor in German. I speak German fluently and I lived in Vienna, Austria for four and a half years. I love listening to music and jammin’ on my guitar. I came to CU to of course study but to also enjoy the outdoors because I love to hike. I played a lot of sports in the past but I mostly play tennis and golf. The Herd is an AMAZING organization! The Herd gives you the chance to meet tons of new people and have tons of fun.

Other HLs: Julia Rohrer, Zach Brill, Sean Franklin, Andrew Black, Amanda Kudron, Kalie Nutini, Lindy Ockuly, Cindy Santana, and Chris Simmons
