The Herd Leadership Council (HLC) is a group of volunteer students that run The Herd. Being a part of the HLC is a chance for students to have a great time, meet great people, be the student voice of the Alumni Association, and gain valuable leadership experience.

Sean Franklin: 3 time defending mullet champion and a world class figure-skater. Well, not really, but he is an avid skier, HUGE Buff fan, and all about the black and gold. He says, “I am privileged to be apart of the best student group in the world which has changed my life forever.” Find him at any of our events and he’ll show you how you can do it too! Sarah Lindsay: I am currently Vice President of The Herd and a sophomore attempting to get a degree in Advertising. In a brief and informal interview she expanded on Justin’s need to answer her, “…he needs an authority figure to listen to – someone like me. Without me, he’d be lost and confused.” Sarah also likes bunnies. And says you should join The Herd too. |

Marni Spott: She is a double major in International Affairs and German with a certificate in Peace and Conflict Studies. She recently got accepted into the BA/MA program in German. She loves to rock climb, play guitar, jello wrestle, and just have an awesome time with Herdies!!! |

Allison Foley: Her name is Allison Foley but her friends all cal her Danger for her intense loves and involvement in jazzercise and bead welding. She considers herself to be a connoisseur in deli meats and packaged cheese but her real passions are Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Beanie Babies and The Herd. |

Katie Mullet: She is a Junior Communications major who is blessed with a last name similar to an infamous 80’s haircut. She loevs hiking and studying in coffee shops and spontaneous Herd dance parties. Join The Herd for new friends and fun times. |

Ideen Taeb: He was left by his parents when he was 5. Since 5, he was raised by tigers in the jungle. He loves skiing, traveling and meeting new people. |

Justin Lang: He is a Senior pursuing a degree in Architectural Design. He has a long and withstanding love for Days of Our Lives and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (he also watches Dr. Phil religiously, but won’t admit to that one). Recently, Justin acquired an undying need to serve others therefore, he willingly obeys each and every one of Sarah’s orders at The Herd meetings. |

Lizzie Coombs: She is an illegal immigrant from the Yukon Territory in Canada. She loves to hunt moose, andstudy Political Science. She is excited to be in The Herd this year and can’t wait to spread the Buff Pride!! Bleed Black and Gold! |

John Schloss: He is a Marketing/Geography major. He is from Colorado and learned to ski before he could walk. Becoming a Buff was the easiest and best decision he has ever made in his life. Black and Gold literally runs in the family here as he is the fourth in a row to go to CU. He’ll see you at the football games! |

Brittany Harrison: She is a sophomore psychology major (yes I am analyzing you all of the time) and her dad is George Harrison from the Beatles. Not really, but his name is George. She likes long walks on the beach in her home town of San Diego and exchanging witty, sarcastic banter back and forth with worthy candidates. |

Leslie Watson: She is a freshman from Northern California and an open option major. She also loves animal crackers despite her being a vegetarian and she will probably never get used to Colorado weather. This is her first year in The Herd and she is really excited to see what happens! |

Darby Shier: She is a senior working on a Humanities major with an emphasis in film studies. Born and raised in Colorado she is excited promote her home team – The BUFFS. She loves doing yoga, reading literature, watching movies, and hopes that someday her involvement with the alumni association will bring her closer to her life long dream of meeting fellow alum and world’s greatest stud Robert Redford! |
